I had the left front axle changed, now get ABS light with code 36.

Obviusly a problem with left front wheel speed sensor but I'm trying
to get more deail.  Can I tell from the code, was the sensor wire
damaged and the circuit is open or short, or is there a problem with
the tone wheel?

The tone wheel is in place and look fine.

I know I can do a continuitiy or scope check of the pulses to test
this but it would be easier if I can tell fom the stored code.

Is there a way to tell from the codes any detail about what is wrong
with the left front sensor, is it open, short, weak signal, missing
tooth etc?

Does code 36 mean OPEN sensor or just bad signal for unknown reason?

thanks

Mark

OK, the code tables I find online say code 36 = Right Front or Left
rear sensor circuit open..   but the left front axle was changed...

What is code 36 for MY car??  95 Camry... is right front/left rear
correct for MY car?

Does LEFT = DRIVERS side?
I had the drivers side front axle replaced..

thanks

Mark
