Corrosion prevention...  The additives in the coolant get converted
over time.
Don't remember how often they recommend, but every three to five years
is probably money well spent.

For my 2001, the recommended is every 2 years. This seemed excessive
and I've kept to about every 3 years. Very hard to get the inverter
reservoir level right ...
