Crossed Seatbelts?

Do I have an assembly defect with my rear seatbelts?

The outboard belt will only fit into the center buckle and the center belt
only fits the outboard buckle.  Are the belts intended to be crossed?  My
Prius is a 2005.

Make sure the buckles aren't crossed.

Normal.  Same on my 2004.

At the moment I cannot find the old thread about this on
