This subject has probably been addressed here before, but I was
just wondering why the activity is so low in this newsgroup. Hasn't
anybody promoted it, or do you all just like it that way?

Thanks!                                                          - Greg

Not everybody can get USENET feeds...

Besides, there are many more frequented and older groups already out
there, some web only, others by email/web:

In the past year or so I hope most people who bought a Prius understood you
had to own one to fully appreciate the bullshit Consumer Reports was
spouting about just breaking even. And it's odd that writers who should know
better complain about lack of oomph at acceleration when in fact it's the
higher idle rpm and low gear that's giving it to them. You might think some
of us never drove a four speed before and tried to accelerate in third gear.
chuggallug comes to mind.
We've covered the subject about how higher elevations lower fuel economy and
how cold weather lowers it too.  Heat has to come from somewhere.
One area we don't talk about is resale value. Maybe because the sunday ads
say it all.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.  Other
alternatives are still years away and that makes the Prius a great
consideration.
