I want to convert my 87 auto 4runner into a stick. I have an 85 truck
and I wonder if the tranny and transfer case from the 85 straight axle
truck will fit in the 87 or must I change out the axle too?

What are you doing with the straight front axle?

Still debating installing it. I probably won't though. Need one? I'm in
the SW Michigan area.

I might be interested if it's cheap. I'd also be interested in a swap as
well. I have a pauir of straight axles from a diesel with 4.27 gears but
I'd prefer the 5.10's that came in the gas trucks. I'm in SE Wisconsin.
Take all the "J's" out of my address except one to reply offline.
