4Runner, v6 automatic, floor mounted gear selector feels really sloppy /
loose. Anyone had this problem? Anyone fixed it?

Shifting action itself (mechanical operation of the tranny) is fine, it's
just the action of the lever.

You should be able to tighten up the linkage and/or replace bushings in
the shift linkage itself. Pull up the shifter console and have a look
at what's loose and fix it.
