I have an '89 Toyota Truck with a V-6 engine.  Every once in awhile it just
will not start.  I turn the key and there's no click, it's just dead but
I'm able to push start it.

had the same problem with my '90 4runner....
It got to a point where the engine would not start period.  The battery was
fully charged but there was no power to the ignition circuit. The problem
with mine was the contacts on the battery,  particularly on the positive
side where the wires are connected.  After taking them all apart and
cleaning them up, it now starts every time. HTH
