What could cause low oil pressure at the sending unit and the gauge itself
when the mechanical pump has been checked out and replaced with a new one?
Any ideas?  I've got a 1975 FJ40 with factory compression in all the
cylinders and it runs great. Stock 6 cylinder?  Any ideas?

Some dumb questions, first:
1) Proper oil level ensured? Low oil could do it?
2) Antifreeze & cooling system look OK?
3) Has the sensor/guage been swapped out? Could be faulty?

If the cylinder compression is good, and no oil is coming out of the
crankcase [either exterior-wise or cooling system], then I think the
indicator must be lying??
Good luck!
