Hello,

I have a 1994 4Runner SR5, 5spd manual, 6cyl w/ 4wd.  The cruise
control no longer works.  When I switch on the cruise control the
green "cruise" light flashes regularly but the cruise control does not
engage.  The car runs fine otherwise and has about 133k miles.  Does
anyone know what this trouble code indicates?

Thanks

Probably a leak in one of the vacuum pipes in the cruise control system.

You have to count the sequence off blinks in order to determine what
has failed.  There is a test mode you can enter by turning on the
ignition, holding down the set/coast button while pressing the main
cruise button to turn the system on.  The cruise light should come on
and after 3 seconds start to blink.  Release the set/cruise button at
this time.  This puts you in test mode and pressing specific buttons,
the brake, the clutch, will test different parts of the circuit.
There is also a jump to put in the test port on the inner fender for
additional tests.  You need to look in the Toyota manual under page
BE-91 for the specifics for all tests.  The manual can be downloaded
in PDF format online.  Hope this sends you in the right direction.
