'91 22 RE won't start hot, has spark. turns over fine.  "Banjo" fuel
fitting for cold start doesn't have pressure while Cranking, but gives
a small spurt when the key is released. replaced fuel filter. some
times when hot the "check engine light is on at Idle. Any Ideas are
welcome. Is there a way to pull codes with a paper clip on this? This
is my first imported FI project and I'm flying without a manual at this
point. Thanks Tim

The diagnostic port is either under the driver's side of the dash or under
the hood.  The cover will have "Diag" on it.  With the ignition off, short
terminals TE1 and E1 with the paper clip and count the check engine light
flashes.  There is a slightly longer pause between the first and second
digit of the code and an even longer pause between codes if there are
multiple codes.  For example, flash flash flash   pause   flash  is code 31.

The cold start injector should not be delivering fuel while cranking when
the engine is hot.
