within a reasonable travel distance or not.

Note that most of the aftermarket conversion kits are for export only and
not designed for use in the U.S.

There are blue-tinted bulbs that make the light appear to be HID.

The HID conversions basically involve mounting a ballast in the vicinity of
the headlamps and then changing the OEM bulb and wire harness over to the
aftermarket one.
