Leasing a vehicle is the most stupid financial decision one can make as an
individual.  You pay a minimum of double the price for the vehicle before
even talking about excess mileage charges you may incur.

I disagree. If you are only going to keep the vehicle for a couple of
years, it may be cheaper than buying. The thing is that before buying or
leasing a vehicle, learn how to figure out the transaction costs for the
lease and compare to buying.
