smart. that way if you ever have some serious car problem that had to
be fixed, the buyer will never spot the repair records in the thick
pile of maintenance docs! =)

Always good for resale.

Will just keeping the history recorded work or should
one ALSO keep the receipts?

Keep the receipts and a log.  The log provides the history at a glance, and
the receipts provide proof of what was done.

Get a folder and keep the receipts there. They may come in handy if
there is a warranty or quality issue with the car or the parts you buy.

So what? ALL cars are off by that much. My Mazda is off even more. It says
175,000 on the Odo, but by using "Measured Miles" on the highyway it's off
by .05 miles per 10 miles. Do the math.

So what, the Odo says 175,000 so 175,000 it is.

Schiesekopf...

Not only is it smart for resale, if you have a problem caused by the oil
change, you have proof of what oil and oil filter were used and who did the
oil change.

Oil can never cause a damage to your engine, only in your mind.  ONLY
Insufficient OIL can cause a damage, How and Why? Lack of oil = high HEAT
build-up, it'll burn your Piston Rings.  It's not the oil, it is the
HEAT.  Got it?

Can't read very well, can ya?

Here, have another look:

Guess you missed the word "change", eh?

Methinks that having been a Factory Rep for Toyota for a number of years,
Ray *might* have a little more experience in automotives than you.

But, you seem more interested in playing games with semantics and being a
troll than offering anything of any value.

I have plonked about 6 people in almost 20 years of Usenet. You're
teetering on the edge of being #7.

Nothing. That's what Jakthehammer wrote. Or so it amounted to...

BTW, methinks thou shouldst change your name..

I am fairly familiar with how engines work, the mistakes that service
facilities can make when changing oil, and with warranty policies and
procedures.  Apparently, you are not familiar with any of the above.

Ray, I don't think he's too familiar with many of his remaining brain
cells, either...

His response, if there is one, will confirm or refute that!

ANY documentation is good. Oil change, tire rotation, timing belts,
coolant change, yada, yada, yada. The more documentation, the more you can
ask towards High Book.

I have glove boxes full of receipts stuffed in there.  They have never done
me any good, as I always run my vehicles forever.  They just sit there,
taking up space....
