It wasn't the US trade embargo that made him do that.

It was the constant irritation from his new South Korean plastic
rectum.

Now, let's see if even one politician in this country can say or do the
right thing in response to Castro's leaving.

I'd rather hear from those currently or formerly imprisoned in Cuba.
Better yet, if such a thing were possible, from those he put to death.

Far more telling and certainly more interesting.

I want to see a heckler ask any of our candidates how they can condemn Cuba,
but smile when China is mentioned. I guess if you host the Orympics, you're
not a communist country any more, and your political prisoners cease to be a
probrem.

How positively un-PC of you, Joe. :-)

But your right in the need for this.  But don't hold your breath.

How about Republican Congressman Jeff Flake?  He's long called for
dropping the trade boycott and maybe even normalization of diplomatic
relations.  He's from Snowflake, Arizona, a town named after a Mr.
Snow and Mr. Flake.  Hey, at least Snowflake is a better name than
Nellie's Nipples (Texas?  Wyoming?).

I think this is a Photoshop job.  I have the feeling he's six feet under
and has been that way for several months.  I could be wrong of course,
rare but possible, LOL.  Maybe I'm getting some of whitless's ego rubbed
off on me.

I wasn't kidding about the plastic rectum.  Something went wrong with
Fidel's surgery, so one was installed.

Here's a picture of Raul Castro, standing next fellow Arizonans Mo
Udall, Barry Goldwater, and  Dennis DeConcini:   http://tinyurl.com/2rpzc7

I have no idea what you mean by that. Nor do I want to.

A much more important story is that Kosovo declared independence this
week. And, Spain and other countries that worry about maintaining their
own borders are against it.

Spain should worry, considering its seemingly endless quarrel with the
Basques.

Here is an example of a person of Basque dissent, Yolande Betbeze, who
was Miss Alabama 1950 and Miss America 1950-51:

I could find nothing indicating she could actually speak Basque, nor
could I find other celebrities who could, but here are two who are
fluent in Indonesian:

To flush out idiots who have nothing better to do than point out that a
thread about Castro in a car newsgroup is off-topic.

Congratulations. Here's your sign!

I think it was, initially, but Outlook Express has a nasty habit of
stripping an OT that's marked thusly:

OT:

Using the brackets, as you did, seems to work better.  It's not always the
original poster's fault.
