I have a 2006 Corolla with automatic transmission. The light that lights up
the drive indicators sometimes work and sometimes doesn't. What might cause
this?

Could be a loose wire, bad bulb, bad ground. It will have to be
disassembled and diagnosed.

I agree, it's a connection related problem. Perhaps a filiment in the bulb
that is intermittant.
