1982 Tercel Radiator

Recently had the rediator on a 1982 Toyota Tercel spring a leak.  The
dealer did not have a replacement and recommended that I try to repair
it before ordering an aftermarket radiator.  Seeing that that thing
has over 300,000 miles on it, I figured it would be best to just
replace the radiator.

According to both Auto Zone and Advance Auto, the Transpro Ready-Rad
(#433689) radiator was the one I needed for my car.  When it arrived,
I noticed that it had connections for the upper and lower hose, the
fan switch, and two lines for a transmission.  I have a manual
transmission, which is cooled by a separate radiator.

So my question is this.  Is it OK to use the new radiator even though
nothing is attached to the holes for the transmission?

There should have been some plastic caps in the holes for the coolers;
leave them there.

It should be OK to use the new radiator, but I would leave the plugs in the
holes for the transmission so that moisture doesn't get in there and corrode
the radiator from the inside.
