I have a 2007 Prius.  Does anyone know the magic incantation to turn off the
"maint reqd" warning light on the dash?

Nothing in the owner's manual about it?

A simple google search would have gotten you an answer quicker than posting
here.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=maint+reqd+prius&btnG=Search
The first result would lead you here:
http://john1701a.com/prius/documents/Prius_Maintenance_Changing-Oil.pdf  And
the last page would have said this:

Once you have finished adding the oil and carefully removed the vehicle
stand & jack, you will want to shut off the "MAINT REQD" indicator inside
the Prius. Here's how:

With the power on, switch to the odometer/trip-meter to display "ODO".
Power OFF (push the "Power" button).
Power ON, while holding the button for "ODO".
Wait for the reminder light to stop flashing, then release.

Note that these instructions don't mention that if the odometer is already
on ODO you HAVE to cycle the display through trip1 and trip2 and back to ODO
before powering off.

The Owner's manual is faster than that. No computer required...

You wienies!  A real MAN doesn't need the manual, he already knows all
this car stuff.  In fact, I throw the manual in the trash before I
leave the dealer's showroom.

Oh yeah?! Well, I rip the manual into little pieces and then burn the
pieces, and then throw the ashes into the fireplace!

That goes for the warranty booklet and the Quick Start guide, double!

This would require one to actually know where that manual is....

Yeah.  I guess even idiots can gather together $25,000 to buy a car, huh.

Mine's in the secretary in my office.

I plucked the ashes and put them in an urn...

(In reality, I guess I should put it back in the car, eh?)

Your owner's manual knows.

Do you even know where it is?

Oh, I get it--you never even opened it.  After all, you know how to
drive a car, for God's sake.  Why bother to read up on the most advanced
automobile the market has ever seen?
