On the local town common.
It is really hilarious. The Dems are battling the same old issues and
railing against GWB (rather than against McCain, who may well be the next
Pres), "No blood for oil", "No war in Iraq", etc

The Reps had it right (as usual): Current signs:

"We don't need an Obamanation"
"Since Dems took over Congress, gas prices have tripled"
"If there's blood, where's the oil?"

Democrats still campagning against Bush. We wonder why things have gotten
worse since Pelosi et al took over Congress?

McCain:  I will be the agent for badly needed change.

Reporter:  How will you do that sir?

McCain:  By holding the course.

We don't need mini-bush II, we want the
war to end.

That's just one instance.
In the overall picture, McCain is more of a catalyst for change than
anyone else, certainly more than Clinton, and probably better in the long
haul than Obama.

If *all* you want is the war to end, you're good.

If you want America to get back on it's feet, get rid of the Democrats
holding it back.

Until we have someone in office who has the balls to get rid of the illegal
immigrants this country will keep going down the toilet. They aren't the
only reason, but they are a big part of it.

I disagree.  The politicians are exactly the reason we have
the illegal problem we have today.

Farmers and others wanted a cheap workforce.  Their lobby bought
(call it what you will) politicians favorable to their cause.  This
con-
tinues today.  Simple economics and includes almost all present,
and past, Dems & Pubs.

Very well! I like the "guest worker" program! Give them a work permit and
a SS number, and then tax them, then send them packing. Works for me!

Sounds like the way it used to be in the 70's.  Fair to all.
In fact IIRC I was on the picket lines for a fair wage for
immigrant farm workers (United Farm Workers) under
the old system.  I'd never picket today after these same
immigrants have screwed everything up (with the politicos
blessings of course).  It's a life, and world, of crime for
these people; their chosen method of survival.

Interesting take on the situation, rigger.

Unfortunate and no ones plan but there you have it.

At some point migrant workers decided to stop traveling
and following the harvest and decided to take-up perm-
enant residence.  In order to do this they needed forged
documents such as Social Security numbers and drivers
license.  These seemed like small things but then they
grew larger.

Ask someone who does the payroll for a company
employing illegals and you'll find people changing
their ID whenever it suits them, mostly to avoid un-
paid bills and garnishments (and often rehired for
the same job under a different identity).

And "the bitch" of it all is the kids raised in these
households (even by loving parents) are raised to
learn crime is not only "all right" but is the pre-
ferred method of survival.  No wonder hispanic
gangs grow so fast.

You can thank your local politicos for this
mess.  But of course, the politicos being the
scum bags they are, probably don't see any-
thing wrong.

Here it's the Puerto Rican population causing a lot of the trouble, but
they're US citizens!!!

Your opinion is noted but mini-bush can't do a damn
thing because he'll never be in charge so unfortunatly
we'll never know if your rediculous statement is true
or not, now will we?

Have you forgotten who got us in this mess?  The length
of your memory seems shorter than most.

It's redickerus...

Oh, not at all. I remember September 11, 2001 quite well, as a matter of
fact.

Seems a lot of Democrats, esp those running for President have forgotten
it.

And Obama wants to kiss Iran's a.s...
