From a 'discussion board':

Yep
So, basically permission has been granted...
LOL
OH MAN.. democrats... What a giant a.s flip flop...

Harry Reid has indicated it may be time to take a vote on drilling for oil
where there are not drilling 'rights' (read: 'permission') now and thereby
open up billions of barrels of oil to the market.

Reid has finally grown somewhat of a brain. And the Democrats in Congress
have finally done something *USEFUL*.

About time.

It's fun to watch the moronic dems (redundant, I know) paint
themselves into a corner on this issue, all they can do is pray for a
spill so they can say "I told you so".

Get real, he isn't growing a brain. He is finally caving to the pressure
from all Americans, dim and pug.

The REAL concern is from the oil companies as Americans adjust to the
price of gas and cut usage.  The oil companies and their bitches,
repugnicans, will try and stop this profit slide.  They are crapping
their pants at the thought of Americans slowing down their massive
consumer lifestyles.  We've already adjusted to the price of around
$4:00 a gallon, but not enough to stop cutting back on driving and gas
guzzling.  I'm surprised drivers of hybrids are not being labelled as
pro-terrorists, pro-al Qaeda.

How dare Americans let the free market system play out without
government intervention!

Hey Dummy -

"Adjusting" to $4 gas IS "cutting back on driving and gas guzzling".
Ever heard of Microeconomics, or were you too busy trying to get in
touch with your feminine side in college?
