Senate votes no.
Keep those cards, letters and calls going though, they're going to try
again!
Heh, ONE f.cking republican actually blamed the defeat on Palosi
hurting the feelings of the republicans. Said another republican,
"We're all worried about losing our jobs"
Hahahaha.

Pelosi, not Palosi.
The Republicans wanted it to pass, but they didn't want to vote for it,
so if and when it doesn't have the intended effect they can boast about
how they voted against it.

Get real, the dims had more than enough votes in the house to pass that
bill, but 95 of the not so Dims voted no as well. They wanted Republican
vote so THEY could blame them down the road LOL

Really? I thought it was the House. One of us is wrong.

Barney Frank is a Republican?
"That was a remarkable accusation by Republicans against Republicans,
said Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., chairman of the House Financial
Services Committee: "Because somebody hurt their feelings, they decided
to punish the country."

As usual, Gary Burnmore has his facts bass-ackwards.
The House voted 223 to 199 (223 included 90 or so Democrats) against the
bailout.

228-205. More than two-thirds of Republicans and 40 percent of
Democrats opposed the bill. In all, 65 Republicans joined 140 Democrats
in voting "yes," while 133 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted "no."

Why would so many democrats vote no? Bad bill perhaps.
I'm happy to see some renegades left in the democrat party. I thought
they were all minions of nancy pee.

This is a failure of John McCain... at least based on his public statements
this morning claiming he put the bill through, seems he got his cart way out
in front of his horse. LOL

Hmmm, I saw a sceen shot of C-Span after the vote was supposedly over. As
usual, THEY have special rules for themselves. I guess it ain't over till
it's over.
I am still willing to bet that somewhere in that tangled bill is a plum for
ACORN, the voter fraud group that outdoes Chicago in voter fraud, and that
takes a bit of doing.
I'm willing to bet my dear grandfather, who died in 1961, is still voting in
Chicago elections.

AND HER PARTY COULD HAVE PASSED THIS WITHOUT THE REPUBLICANS. What does
that tell us about this bill and about the concern the dims have on
election day for their own a.ses. About the only ones voting for IT
were those who were about to retire, LOL.
