Bush pardoned two turkeys today.  They will be the only deserving
pardons Bush will hand out.  All the rest of those pardoned will be
turkeys but not deserving of a pardon

They were probably two old turkeys that no one would want to eat anyway.

Dude, how can you go on and on about Bush's measly pardons after the crew
of criminals Clinton pardoned?!?!?!?!

Raymond Phillip Weaver     U. S. Navy summary court-martial     1947     Theft of
four pounds of butter

On August 11, 1999, Clinton commuted the sentences of 16 members of FALN,
a violent Puerto Rican nationalist group that set off 120 bombs in the
United States mostly in New York City and Chicago, convicted for
conspiracies to commit robbery, bomb-making, and sedition, as well as for
firearms and explosives violations

In March 2000, Bill Clinton pardoned Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory, owners of
the carnival company United Shows International, for charges of bank fraud
from a 1982 conviction. Although the couple had already been released from
prison, the prior conviction prevented them from doing business in certain
American states. First Lady Hillary Clinton's youngest brother, Tony
Rodham, was an acquaintance of the Gregorys, and had lobbied Clinton on
their behalf.

Peter MacDonald - The day before President Clinton left office, U.S. Rep.
Patrick J. Kennedy lobbied the White House to commute the sentence of the
former leader of the Navajo Nation. MacDonald was sentenced to 14 years at
a Federal Prison in Texas for fraud, extortion, inciting riots, bribery,
and corruption stemming from the Navajo purchase of the Big Boquillas
Ranch in Northwestern Arizona.

Almon Glenn Braswell was pardoned of his mail fraud and perjury
convictions, even while a federal investigation was underway regarding
additional money laundering and tax evasion charges

Linda Sue Evans and Susan Rosenberg were pardoned. Weather Underground
members, they were imprisoned on weapons and explosives charges.

Susan McDougal, who had already completed her sentence, was pardoned for
her role in the Whitewater scandal; McDougal had served 18 months on
contempt charges for refusing to testify about Clinton's role.

Here's a REAL beaut!

Melvin J. Reynolds, a Democratic Congressman from Illinois, who was
convicted of bank fraud, 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of
justice, and solicitation of child pornography had his sentence commuted
on the bank fraud charge and was allowed to serve the final months under
the auspices of a half way house.

Peggy Ann Bargon (Violation of the Lacey Act, violation of the Bald
Eagle Protection Act)

William Arthur Borders Jr. (Conspiracy to corruptly solicit and accept
money in return for influencing the official acts of a federal district
court judge (Alcee L. Hastings), and to defraud the United States in
connection with the performance of lawful government functions; corruptly
influencing, obstructing, impeding and endeavoring to influence, obstruct
and impede the due administration of justice, and aiding and abetting
therein; traveling interstate with intent to commit bribery)

Couple good ones for this group:

# Arthur David Borel (Odometer Rollback)
# Douglas Charles Borel (Odometer Rollback)

Jimmy C. Dick     N. D. Calif.     1976     Conspiracy to manufacture counterfeit
Federal Reserve Notes, 18 U.S.C. § 371

Lewis Craig Seymour     W. D. Okla.     1979     Distribution of Phencyclidine
(PCP), 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1)

Kevin Lester Teker     W. D. Wash.     1989     Maliciously damaging property used
in an activity affecting interstate commerce by means of an explosive, 18
U.S.C. § 844(i)

Terry Coy Bonner     N. D. W. Va.     1986     Possession of an illegally made
destructive device, 26 U.S.C. § 5861(c)

Darrin Dean Dorn     S. D. Iowa     1981     Conspiracy to damage property by means
and use of an explosive, 18 U.S.C. § 371

Pincus Green     S. D. N. Y.     1984 superseding indictment     Wire fraud, mail
fraud, racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, criminal forfeiture, income
tax evasion, and trading with Iran in violation of trade embargo, 18
U.S.C. §§ 1343, 1341, 1962(c), 1962(d), 1963, and 2; 26 U.S.C. § 7201,
50 U.S.C. § 1705, and 31 C.F.R. §§ 535.206(a)(4), 535.208 and 535.701

Wonder why he'd pardon these two:

Gerald Glen Rust     E. D. Tex.     1991     False declarations before grand jury, 18 U.S.C. § 1623
Jerri Ann Rust     E. D. Tex.     1991     False declarations before grand jury, 18
U.S.C. § 1623

Adolph Schwimmer     S. D. Calif.     1950     Conspiracy to violate the Neutrality
Act and export control laws, and conspiracy to export arms, ammunition,
etc. to a foreign country, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 88 (1946 ed.)
and 371, 22 U.S.C. § 452, and 50 U.S.C. § 701

Clinton's pardons will pale when compared to Dubya's.  And I'm not
even considering the illegality issues.  Let's just sit back and wait
and see.

You better go buy some lottery tickets with your prognosticator skills.

Hmmm...he might be right. Clinton did a lot of his gregarious pardons in
the final days.

And, I missed the humor about the turkeys when I first saw the post.
