{OT} Obama bristles as the bubble closes in on him

Suddenly obomber don't like limelight, LOL.  Poorbaby.

<http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1208/16882.html>

The Obama family has become increasingly aware of the cameras and the
lack of privacy that comes with the presidency.

HONOLULU The media glare, the constant security appendage and the
sheer production that has become a morning jog or a hankering for an ice
cream cone it¹s been closing in on Barack Obama for some time.

Now the president-elect appears increasingly conscious of the confines
of his new position, bristling at the routine demands of press coverage
and beginning to chafe at boundaries that are only going to get smaller.

Obama even took the unusual step Friday morning of leaving behind the
pool of reporters assigned to follow him, taking his daughters to a
nearby water park without them. It was a breach of longstanding protocol
between presidents (or presidents-elect) and the media, that a gaggle of
reporters representing television, print and wire services is with his
motorcade at all times.

Why did you focus on Obama when the article says the attention is difficult
for all presidents to adjust to?

Oh - I know why. You never got past the first two paragraphs of the article,
as usual. Your fake eye problem got to you.

You must have read right over where it says, "But Obama seems to be
struggling particularly hard, particularly early". Too bad you can only
blame it on being a stupid liberal. You should get a fake eye so you would
have a good excuse..

This was perhaps the thousandth time dbu has presented what he erroneously
believes to be disparaging information about some politician he dislikes. If
you were capable of paying attention, you would've known by now that dbu
barely reads the articles he presents as "information". When someone points
out that the articles he presents are in no way supportive of the point he's
trying to make, he either vanishes from the thread he began, or he makes 7th
grade locker room comments about the person who trashed his so-called
conclusion.

If you were capable of paying attention, you would also know by now that he
has stated at least two reasons why he does not read:

1) His fake eye problems.

2) No author can be trusted because they all expect to be paid for their
work.

He said these things. Not me. Now, pay attention.

jsb has no life except for this NG and a couple others.  That is sad.

This coming from a person (dbu or dbu' or dbu* or... whoever he is at the
moment) who once told me that he subscribes to 57 ngs.  <eye roll>

You didn't address the issue: saying another person has no life because they
post a whole lot on ngs, yet you had claimed to subscribe to 57 of them.
See?  Deflecting, just as I described as one of your tactics in a recent

There's that "logic" of yours again, Joe.  He didn't comment without
reading the article.  In no way did he infer that except within YOUR
interpretation of what he wrote.

To anyone with a brain (sorry, Joe), he only said that if he "...read
everything that either of you posted..."  This does not include the
article itself, but rather your blather.

The thing is, jsb is mostly correct about this. There's a l-o-n-g (years'
worth) history of the behavior he's describing.  dbu often posts the link to
an article, makes a comment on it, but... when one reads the article, it
refutes the comment/POV/conclusion dbu made/had drawn!  Then he tries to
save face by either disappearing from that conversation, or calling the
other person a name/deflecting, or backtracking in a ridiculously fast
fashion & claiming that's what he said all along.  Happens over & over &
over again...

Sadly, jsb has no life.  However, I'd rather see him here posting
stupids than in a bar getting drunk and causing ruckus or molesting
little kids.  Perhaps we can help him be motivated into doing something
more constructive.

You have to at least read the articles you comment on.

dbu attempted (lamely) to single out Obama for resisting the "bubble" which
all presidents have had to deal with. The article refutes his claim. You
missed it. dbu missed it.

Maybe because Obama will be our President in a few weeks, and the
other Presidents are all former Presidents or soon-to-be former (thank
God) President. So people focus on someone who can accomplish
something. And his family.

This is hilarious. Like a good father, he's trying to avoid the limelight as

Hilarious, indeed.  Remember when the leftists media danced with glee
over anything sordid involving the Bush twins, yet Chelsea then, and
O's kids now, are off-limits.

Are you referring to the Bush twins who seemed destined for making their own
"girls gone wild" videos? Yeah. Those are the ones you mean. When a
president's kids are having issues with booze, the press SHOULD be all over
the story like stink on sh.t, especially since their dad had issues with
booze, which you will now deny.

All liberals are like Joe in some degree or another these days.  I've seen
only a relative handful that will honestly debate. Most of them shout the
mindless slogans they've been taught by George SoreA$$ and MoveOn.org.  (I'm
still waiting for then to come out with  "Peace, Land, and Bread".)  I've
