What happened to the only way to save the auto industry?  Weren't we
told the bailout was absolutely necessary to prevent the companies from
going under?  Why didn't they just go bankrupt before the government
insisted we MUST bail them out?

WASHINGTON – Chrysler will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
in New York on Thursday and will be eligible for up to $8 billion in
federal aid to rebuild the ailing automaker, according to senior
administration officials.

The officials say bankruptcy is necessary after talks with some of
Chrysler's holdout creditors over the company's $6.9 billion in debt
fell apart last night.

Chrysler could probably blow up its plants and make itself eligible
for $5B in bailout funds for reconstruction.

When all you have is a hammer (our $$$), everything looks like a nail.

Obama's "necessary" plan to save the car companies from bankruptcy
failed.  This is the issue.  He has been a complete failure since
taking office, and an expensive one at that also.
