"Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party
for Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the
Obama Justice Department, FOX News has learned.
The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on
Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying
to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of
force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon."

"A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case
noted that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south
in the 1960's and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said
it was the most blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen."

I guess obama seen it as another way of getting votes.

I watched the whole thing on TV.  The only person intimidated was the
white reporter.

You did not watch the part that the white reporter filmed, and which is at
the root of the charges.

But, even so, the white reporter should not have been chased down the
sidewalk by the Black Panthers carrying a night stick. At the very least,
that particular act is assault, and should be prosecuted as such.

That would be intimidation of the press, not voter intimidation.  The
reporter is free to file charges.  I grew up in Philadelphia.  I had a
field engineer job from 1968 until 1985 that included North Philly,
West Philly, you know, area's considered "black".  I was in those
neighborhoods for every election day during those years.  The most I
saw was black voting places provided with grossly insufficient numbers
of voting machines.  These are areas that scare the crap out of white
people who avoid people of color.  The Black Panther Party in
Philadelphia must have 10 members.

But you really meant I'm racist against white people.  Back when I was
young and impressionable I made the same stupid arguments.

The Obama Administration had a conviction in hand -- the defendents failed
to appear, and therefore are guilty of the charges -- yet Mr. Holder dropped
all charges against the Black Panther Party and the two individuals that
blocked the door to the polling place. (The case had three defendants, the
NBPP, and the two men seen in the video we have all seen.) One guy was
carrying a billy-club in front of the polling place, and he has been ordered
to not do that again. THAT is the only thing that has come out of this case!

I did a quick background check of the New Black Panther Party, and it is
identified as a hate group, is anti-capitalism (socialist), and is closely
associated with the Nation of Islam.

Holder elected to not pursue the case against the New Black Panther Party
because it would represent an assault against ACORN. Now, the NBPP and ACORN
are not directly linked, but they share the same agenda, or at least very
similar agendas, and Obama WANTS the agenda of ACORN to thrive and grow,
therefore the NBPP must also thrive and grow. A conviction by Holder would
not promote the goals of the Obama Administration, so the prosecution was
dropped when it had already won the case.

The fact that anybody within 50 feet of the door to the polling area
intimidating voters is illegal.

Imagine the NY Times headline should the polling area in a black
neighborhood been manned by white guys sporting berets, and carrying
nightsticks.

Yep, since Jan 20th, the United States of America has been replaced by the
Unted Soviets of Pussywhipped, with Comrade Apologizer as Party Secretary.

activity like that anywhere near the poll, would be promptly escorted
away in my town.  Reporters included.  We don't tolerate such BS, by
anyone, including the black pansy party.
