Conscience - 04 Jun 2009 17:54 GMT > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-3X5hIFXYU Couple this with our "president" claiming:
Now, the flip side is I think that the United States and the West generally, we have to educate ourselves more effectively on Islam. And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslims Americans, we'd be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world."
Conveniently, he ignores the fact that less than 1% our our population is Muslim, but hey, don't let the facts get in your way. That's just more padding between your knees and Muslim kneepads, right Barack?
BTW, has anyone heard a syllable from our "president" about Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad shooting two young military recruiters in Arkansas, murdering one of them? One word? Just one?
But he sure had a lot to say about Dr. George Tiller being murdered, with the AG dispatching Marshals to protect "appropriate people and facilities around the nation." I wonder why the same Marshals aren't being dispatched to protect synagogues around the nation after the arrests of four Islamic radicals last month for plotting to bomb Jewish houses of worship in New York.
I guess those two privates, and Jews, aren't valuable or "appropriate" enough.

Maybe we should accept that our own citizens and our friends are gunned down or blwon up in cold blood, and that we must embrace the haters of our citizens and friends.

Barack need to brush up on his history, starting with Chamberlain and Santayana.
Lucius Accius - 04 Jun 2009 18:37 GMT >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-3X5hIFXYU >> Couple this with our "president" claiming: [quoted text clipped - 24 lines] > > Has anybody heard a word about Islamic hatred from Obama? Just one? So you haven't listened to his speech in Cairo, I take it? A few excerpts:
Violent extremists have exploited these tensions in a small but potent minority of Muslims. The attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the continued efforts of these extremists to engage in violence against civilians has led some in my country to view Islam as inevitably hostile not only to America and Western countries, but also to human rights.
The first issue that we have to confront is violent extremism in all of its forms.
I am aware that some question or justify the events of 9/11. But let us be clear: al-Qaida killed nearly 3,000 people on that day. The victims were innocent men, women and children from America and many other nations who had done nothing to harm anybody. And yet al-Qaida chose to ruthlessly murder these people, claimed credit for the attack, and even now states their determination to kill on a massive scale. They have affiliates in many countries and are trying to expand their reach. These are not opinions to be debated; these are facts to be dealt with.
Make no mistake: we do not want to keep our troops in Afghanistan. We seek no military bases there. It is agonizing for America to lose our young men and women. It is costly and politically difficult to continue this conflict. We would gladly bring every single one of our troops home if we could be confident that there were not violent extremists in Afghanistan and Pakistan determined to kill as many Americans as they possibly can. But that is not yet the case. That's why we're partnering with a coalition of 46 countries. And despite the costs involved, America's commitment will not weaken. Indeed, none of us should tolerate these extremists. They have killed in many countries. They have killed people of different faiths –- more than any other, they have killed Muslims. Their actions are irreconcilable with the rights of human beings, the progress of nations, and with Islam.
Those are just a few excerpts. You should read the whole thing. He did a pretty good job of telling them they need to get their act together in a way that might actually be heard.

I'd like to hear him say, we like Islam, but we will hunt down and kill terrorists wherever they are.

Idiots might say we don't need to give them the recognition they deserve, yet remember the gay teenager up north killed by the group of scumbags? That one gets a lot of attention, but when two gay adult males killed a young man after raping him, we heard not a word in the mainstream media.
So that arguement, too, falls flatter than his EEG.

His avoidance of terror makes America look weak to terrorists.

If Obama said we will hunt down and kill terrorists wherever they are, what would be accomplished by saying it?

Weakness comes from not saying it.
Why are you so dense that such simple concepts must constantly be explained?

[quoted text clipped - 30 lines] > Why are you so dense that such simple concepts must constantly be > explained? I function with actual evidence. Obama has INCREASED the use of drone aircraft. More of them, and deeper into areas where Bush refused to go because he was weak and afraid to piss off the Pakistani government. If the Air Force general in charge of these missions walked up to you and said "We flew 183 drone missions in the past 10 days.", would you tell him he was lying because Obama didn't accompany the stepped up attacks with penis-waving words?
Would you tell him he was lying?
Would you tell him the attacks would be more effective if Obama used penis-waving words?
Oh - and as far as dense, it's always best to speak softly and carry a big stick. You can find this truth close to home. Ask any cooler in a busy night club. Let me know if you need info about what coolers do. Only boys who never outgrew 7th grade need to run their mouths, or hear other people doing it.

If his words speak weakness, it doesn't matter very much what he does. He needs to speak and do strength. That's his job. That's what YOU elected him to do.
I didn't vote for him, but that does not keep me from understanding what his role is.
He's visiting the Middle East, but not our most significant ally in the region. He's catering his message to our enemies to a greater degree than to our friends.
Next, he's visiting Germany, AFTER not visiting our most significant ally in the Middle East.
He took time from his busy schedule to tell our most significant ally in the Middle East to stop doing things that our most significant ally has every right to be doing.
In a single speech, the President of the United States has demonstrated to the whole world that he's not above abandoning significant allies while cozying up to less significant allies, if not outright enemies.
YOU should be alarmed at the behavior of your President, I'm alarmed at the behavior of my President.

- You may have noticed that Bush eventually apologized for using penis-waving language.
- No real soldier is bothered by a president who uses penis-waving language.
Only an impotent armchair warrior child requires a leader who uses penis-waving language. Do you really want to continue being that kind of creature?

"This is a classic difference between liberals and conservatives - liberals think words change reality - conservatives know that change comes from much deeper wells."
The exact OPPOSITE conclusion could be drawn by reading the exchanges between Jeff and Joe.
Let's face it:
Neither conclusion is correct None of us are anti-American None of us is pro-Terrorist All of us think that the approach we favor is the one that is more likely to lead to success in the long term.

I'll disagree on one important point: I am absolutely correct when I say that penis-waving language accomplishes absolutely nothing of importance. It *does* accomplish this: It keeps armchair warriors like Strickland happy. But that's nothing of importance to the situation in the Middle East.
Armchair warriors should manage their 7th grade cravings by watching an endless stream of Chuck Norris movies.

Two Muslim ladies are talking over tea. #1 pulls out some pictures of her kids:
"This is Yusuf. He would've been 24, but he's a martyr".
#2 says "What a good looking boy!"
#1 shows another picture and says "This is Zakir. He would've been 20, but like his brother, a martyr".
#2 says "I remember him. He wanted to be a doctor".
#1 shows one more picture and says "This is Jamal. He would've been 16, but....a martyr".
#2 sighs deeply and says "Kids! They blow up so fast these days!"
