Has anyone seen McCain's or Dubya's hospital "long form" birth
certificate?  Was McCain's mother given one of these birth
certificates in Panama?  Did George or his father have to produce
their hospital "long form" birth certificate?  Has any member of the
Senate or House produced their hospital "long form" birth certificate?

Let's get every single elected official to produce their hospital
"long form" birth certificates.
Jeff Strickland - 28 Jul 2009 05:08 GMT
McCain was born of American Citizens on an American military installation.
His citizenship is without question. I'm not certain of the circumstances
surrounding W's birth, but both of his parents are American citizens and if
he was born outside of the USA, he still gets his birth right.

Obama is born of a man that is not an American citizen, never was and never
will be. His mother is a citizen, but America does not seem to recognize
birth right of the mother, and instead seems to honor the birth right of the
father. That is the problem that Barack Obama has.

Frankly, I think the "problem' is bogus. I hate to think that our system of
electing leaders could allow an unqualified man or woman to get as far as he
has gotten without somebody saying, "wait a f---ing mi8nute, this person
can't run for President."

To get 6+ months past the inauguration and still be talking about the
qualifications is absurd. It's too bad we can't trust the media to research
this sort of thing BEFORE  the election. Wait, the media loves Obama and
they would never compromise their journalistic integrity by looking into the
credentials of the man that would become President. Silly me ...

###If the the RNC, The McCain Campain, and Karl Rove couldn't do anything
with the issue, the Birthers aren't going anywhere with it either.

you'd think.

But the Democrats were so adamant about getting a hot, electable
candidate that it wouldn't surprise me if they overlooked that minor
detail.

And judging from the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority leader,
they are certainly stupid enough to try to get away with it...

Yup. I wouldn't put a thing past them.

Hey, you never really answered a question I posed to you at least 4 times
now:

Why have they spent so much time, effort and money to seal all of Obama's
records?

Because the question is bogus.  There is no answer.  Hawaii elected
officials all stand by the birth certificate.  The state-supplied
short form birth certificate is now the primary form of ID for things
like Passports, etc.

If the hospital, long form birth certificate is the standard, why is
it not the standard for everyone?  Everyone has a state short form
birth certificate but many people do not have the hospital long form
cert.

So what shall we do?  Say anyone who does not have the hospital birth
certificate is not a citizen?

They haven't produced anything. Nothing. Period.

There is a question about the President of the United States' place of
birth. It should be answered more than just, "I saw it."

And, why have Obama and others put so much effort into sealing records?

I never really like Bush, but he didn't go to the lengths Obama has to
seal his military record.

Something smells rotten. Remove the blinders from your eyes and the
clothespin from your nose...

I think you are crazy.  Pictures of his birth certificate are on the
web.  Hawaiian elected officials have certified serveral times that
the birth certificate is valid.   You guys can rant and rave 24 x 7
and nothing is going to change, other than our opinion of all birthers.

They haven't produced a thing. Period. They have SAID there's a BC.

WHY are his records SEALED?!?!

WTF is wrong with you people? Are you in a trance?
Are they drugging the water where you are? Remember the furvor over GWB's
military record? VOILA! Here's ALL his military records.
Yet, the POTUS is in question of his birth, and all people can say is,
well, someone's seen it?

Once more: if a citizen wants to verify the birthright of the POTUS, he
has that right. So, one more time: WHY have the records been SEALED?!?!?

Because the State of Hawaii does not give one out unless the request maker
has a tangible reason for the document, their def. of tangible. IMHO, it is
beginning to sound like the birthers' problem is more pigmentation than
documentation. Even the House of Representatives has voted w/o a nay that
the 44th POTUS, Barak Obama, is an American citizen, born in the 50th state.
Even Rep. Michelle Bachman voted yes to this! Maybe time for you to return
to the Kennedy Conspiracies.

Well, tak, if *THIS* House of Reps voted on it, it *MUST* be true!
They are certainly the best Congress we've had, *EVER* !

And as I told Ed, as a US citizen, anyone questioning the legality of the
44th POTUS has a 'tangible right' to know there is such a document.

Still doesn't answer why all his records have been sealed...

to keep guys like you bouncing off the walls with frustration. It's

I don't really care, to be honest with you. I've been debating for the
sake of debating since this thread started. Show me where *I* questioned
the legality of the Presidency.

I merely said the whole thing could be resolved with a BC, and am
questioning why all Obama's records have been sealed.

Nope. Still doesn't answer the question. It says Congrees has voted on
Obama's citizenship, and that someone in Hawaii has 'seen' the BC.

Still doesn't answer why Barack had all his records sealed.

However, it appears Congress has moved on and has accepted Obama's island
birthplace. The U.S. House on Monday unanimously approved a resolution
recognizing and celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hawaii becoming the
50th state.

Well, THAT will certainly quell a lot of interest!

But, it still doesn't answer why Barack had his records sealed.

Listen lunatic, this is a Republic, not a direct Democracy.  Obama
complied with the requirements of the POTUS office.  Nobody asked to
see Dubya's birth certificate.

The more you go on about this the more ridiculous you look and sound.
What you have not realized about yourself is you are looking for any
technicality to overturn the election.  How utterly anti-democratic.

Un-democratic?

Are you serious? There is a question about the legality of the current
POTUS, and questions are being raised about that legality, and all it
takes is one document, and *I'M* being un-democratic?

All someone has to do is produce a BC. I have 2 copies, one in my safe
and one in my wallet. Have done this since I was 18. My records are wide
open. I have no reason to seal them.

Think about what you're saying, please. There is a question about the
President's birth. One document would clear it all. Rather than produce
the document, the POTUS has *ALL* his records sealed.

Where am I a lunatic, Ed?

I didn't raise any questions about Obama's legality, and, if I remember
correctly, *YOU* are the one that made the first post.

I've just been speculating since. I offer a simple remedy to the
situation: produce a real BC. That ends ALL discussion, right?

I also asked a valid question: why has Obama sealed all his records?
Instead of actually answering the question, you're ranting about what a
lunatic I am, and I'm not even the one that questioned anything in the
first place!

So, once again, Ed. *I* am not questioning the legality of the POTUS, I am
merely offering a remedy, and wondering aloud why he sealed all his
records.

It's never going to happen.  Validity of the story aside, he'll never
be removed as president, and you'll never get the Republicans to have
the balls to back any efforts to do so.  It's a dead issue as far as
any action is concerned.  Do I think he's a natural-born citizen?
Nope.  Does that matter?  Nope.

Even if it would be definitely proven he isn't native-born, it'd be
swept under the carpet.  To actually do something about it would incite
anarchy in major cities across the land that would make Watts 1965 look
like a family picnic.  And a relatively brief one at that.

So get used to being held hostage by this charade.  That's all this
four-year period can be labeled.

Or he could just allow the release of the long-form certificate.

Nah.
Mark - 29 Jul 2009 16:45 GMT
Speculation -

Would the Dims self-destruct any faster under Biden?  It's hard to see
how that could happen, so the current condition might be preferable
anyway.  Another 4 years of gradual descent with Carter (Biden) would
be Oh so hard to take.

I think whatever damage potential Bozama has remaining will be largely
neutralized at the next election if we can manage to keep things from
slipping too far down the slippery slope (and off the cliff).

There is one thing that can be done by people bothered by this: vote
straight Republican in the mid-term election. Get the bobble-headed morons

enough of a quorum to bring everything to light, and to stop the runaway

Palin doesn't matter any more. She quit. Cut & run. The job was too tough
for her. Imagine what she'd do if she was president and Iran fired a missile
at one of our ships. Cut & run. Quit.

She was hounded out of office because of the liberal ethics law in
Alaska which she was forced to defend with her own funds.  All but one
were tossed out.  That one had to do with her kids riding along with her
on official business.

Any president gets more bad press and hounding than any other politician in
the country. Imagine what Palin would do. Quit. Cut & run. Poor baby

Cut & run.

See, unlike people like Kerry and Obama and Dukakis, she gave up her
position before seeking another one. I think all politicians should do
that. Senator from Illinios? Want to run for President?

I can't fold tin-foil for sh.t. Stop leaving them lying around all over

ron - 29 Jul 2009 18:33 GMT
nobama could stop all this sh.t by simply publishing the full-long form
birth certificate.

where is his transparency in government?  There have been a lot of people
(it should only take ONE) that have questions about his birth.

I've always felt that if you got something to hide, then you obfuscate.
What is possibly on a birth certificate that can't be made public (except

That is correct. But, according to various news sources, he has requested
the state of Hawaii seal these records.

He has also asked for or paid to have other records sealed, including
school records and other records that should be available by FOI inquiry.

I am actually NOT questioning his birth, like people seem to think.

I *AM* questioning why he and others saw fit to seal his records.

All I ever said was, he can end all this by producing his BC. He had it
sealed, instead. I wonder why?

> where is his transparency in government?  There have been a lot of people

That is also right, and as I mentioned before, the state said only people
with a tangible interest can ask to see his BC. I feel as a citizen of the
US, I probably have a 'tangible interest' to make sure any questions about
my President's place of birth and in accordance with law is fairly
'tangible'.

No, you idiot. The same muscle memory which makes sports stars so good can
also prevent them from doing well in sports for which they've never trained.
Same reason a classically trained double bassist will often be a total klutz
