Looks like the bloom is off the rose. They thought they would ride the Messiah's coattails, but like I've been saying, the Emperor's New Clothes... You know the story...

Who in their right mind would expect every single democratic candidate to win? The issues in NJs elections had zero to do with national politics. You can dream on.

I can't find one reason why anyone would want to live in such a high tax state, unless they have lots, and I mean lots of $$$ with connections. NY...ditto. Maybe the new gov will whip that state into shape. Lets us hope, for the sake of your family. --

But that didn't stop Corzine and Obama...oops, I mean OBAMA and Corzine from campaigning together.
Corzine didn't get the boost he was hoping from mugging for the cameras with the Exalted one. You can kid yourself it was entirely on local issues, but people are starting to run from Democrats.
That didn't take too long...

Corzine didn't have a chance to begin with. People in NJ had had enough of him.
Obama appearing in ads and billboards in *front* of Corzine only made them run harder.
Like i2dd said, "The ego has landed". ROFLMAO.

Hello mr. irrelivant..? New Jersey is in no way a bellwether state for any election, including this one. The problem is New Jersey residents focus only on taxes collected and ignore where the money is spent. They piss and moan constantly but never do anything about the problem. Their social activism is limited to voting against their own best interests in every election, just so long as the minorities take some imagined hit. I know too many people in south Jersey who vote republican just to punish the minorities who seem to be responsible for everything bad in NJ - Camden, Trenton, Newark. Are you getting what I'm saying? Everybody I know in south Jersey sits on their a.s all year and watches hockey and football games and never devote any real effort to root out and force out the corruption and waste.

Say this all you want. The voters saw the ads and the billboards with Obama standing in FRONT of Corzine and decided they wanted nothing more to do with either one of them.
But, you keep spewing BS to make yourself feel better.

Unfortunately, that makes everyone poor.

[quoted text clipped - 45 lines] > Action (Political Economy of Institutions and Decisions)" > Elinor Ostrom Well I'm glad that you are what you consider a good citizen, me, I don't like feeling like I'm getting f.cked because this piece of sh.t government is all about self preservation & playing political games with our lives. You can keep dreaming that a government run country is the best one, me, I'll take my chances with what the people are saying & feeling now, this government & this current administration are pieces of sh.t & are not representing what the country wants. So you can argue all you want in support of all this crap, we are only seeing & hearing what they want us to. Call that paraniod or whatever you want but I'm tired of busting my a.s only for representatives to come in, play f.cking games, and strip me of my hard work because of a bunch of bleeding heart agendas.
And I am not this neocon that you are painting me to be, I am someone motivated by personal reasons, is why I asked you what I asked of you so please keep your labels to yourself & that partisan bullshit, it don't fly with me. Yes I was in the military, how I felt being there is of no business of yours. You are placing an expectation of how I *should* feel and that's the problem everyone assumes what we all should be feeling about what's going on & that makes people resistant so don't preach to me. And your referances to materials to read, there are way to many f.cking eggheads thinking they know what's going on, I pay no attention to it, when people are SHOUTING from the rooftops telling a government they don't want something & they still *PUSH* stuff through without regard to *OPPOSITION* than I lose my respect for all of them. Remember this, "WE THE PEOPLE," its not we the government, so quote all the egg heads you want I go by what I see & hear.
But with all that said, I do appreciate you responding as you are entitled to your opinion, one that I would respectfully, totally, disagree with.

VA was no surprise, but NJ should have been dim.
Voters don't like the belligerent attitude of obama and his DNC thugs along with the big spending, healthcare and the ominous cap and trade deal that is hanging over industry now. Those two things alone are killing jobs now and in the future. The dims are right about one thing, unemployment at 10 percent or above, get used to it. That is unless we can kick the dims back out in the street in 10 and 12. The day of reckoning is coming for obama and his crew of thieves. --

They have the highest real estate taxes in the country, so probably the world. The election was all about taxes; nothing else. They would vote for Attila the Hun or Karl Marx if he promised to lower taxes. But taxes will never go down because the corruption in NJ is endemic. Too many people make a living from the taxes collected so not a thing will change. Just watch what happens over the next year. I have family there so I'll keep you all posted.

Because I rarely shutdown and close out apps, just put everything to sleep, the NW may not have picked up on the time change. My computer shows correct time. Check now and report back. My Uncle has a few section 8 situations with his real estate and almost all of his property taxes have nearly doubled, its not sustainable for him......But they DARE not raise the rents on S8, he's rich, can spread the wealth & carry the burden, how dare he be insensitive.
