I need to change my spark plugs, but I can't figure out how to get to the three behind the engine? tia remove manifold or pull motor out >I need to change my spark plugs, but I can't figure out how to get to the >three > behind the engine? tia No no no. No need to remove the intake manifold. It's a pain, but certainly doable. Start by removing the PCV hose and the 12mm bolt/ground strap on the right side of the surge tank. After that its just a matter of patience and few different size ratchets and extensions until you find the right combination to get back there underneath the intake manifold. I use 3" and 5" extensions, and two ratchets, about 5" and 9". Post if you need help. I still do not understand how to chang those spark plugs >I still do not understand how to chang those spark plugs You can purchase daily or annual access to Toyota on-line service information at http://techinfo.toyota.com/ To change the spark plugs, you need to remove the ignition coils to get at the spark plugs. Plz help |
