Saw a silver Corolla GTS hatchback moving through a parking lot in Rolling
Meadows, IL today, it looked like it was in very good shape.  I figured
Hachiroku would appreciate Hachiroku sightings, especially one that was very
streetable.

There's a white one for sale down the street from me. Being Canadian, I
would not buy it. You just *know* it's full of RUST.

I live in the Great NorthEast. It was only driven 3 winters, but 20 years
of snow and no garage have not been kind to it. It is sitting in the
backyard slowly returning to the elements it was made from. I have a guy
who restores cars on tap...I just need a few spare bucks! I think it will
be on it's way in a couple months, to be ready for next spring. I hope...

You just need to buy an MK1 MR2. You want a true drivers sports car, its the
one.

nearly as well...

I got my 86 MK1 for $1200, I would say that's pretty affordable. Of course
you could pay up to 10K for a mint low miliage MK1, but most are around the
1200 mark. Now the MKII is a bit different, I paid 15K for mine back in '98
and it was almost 5 years old, they still run pretty high for a good
condition car.
