2000 Avalon Alarm

Purchased 2000 Avalon and have ordered remote for it.
The alarm goes of many times a day when opening any door
other than driver. Only way to stop it is to get out of car and
put key in door. Will remote stop this problem (reset alarm,
once programmed) or is the alarm simply malfunctioning?

You need the factory remove or you need to unlock the door with a key to
deactivate the alarm.
