Pictured above, a series of well-defined auroral gaps is
seen dividing green aurora curtains high above Harstad,
Norway, earlier this month.

non-sequiter alert - Are you trying to make a connection
between the northern lights and liberals?

I've seen that when I lived in Caribou, Maine. They called it the
Northern Lights. The other name is too hard for them to say.

My co-worker that called on the dealer in Caribou, Maine would always ask
the dealer how the weather was up there before driving up from the Boston
area, and the dealer would reply "clear and still...
"clear up to my a.s and still snowing!"

Damn right! I was a Virginia boy who had just been transferred from
Guam in January to Maine and I was in shock when I got off the airplane
and saw the walls of snow.

Guam to Maine in January sounds kind of cruel. Did you insult the general's
daughter or something?

I had a big mouth and said things before I thought about them -- much
like some other denizens of this group. I also had several slaps on
the wrist.
