I should have added.....

I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for in the way of a 4x4.
I'm more interested in the car being of good running order and safe, as
the misses will mainly be driving it, with me only using it for picking
up logs on the weekend.

Not looking to spend mega bucks but would be in for a couple of grand.
I've seen a few Vitara's on ebay that look okay for that sort of money.
However I would value any advice on what to look for.

As I say, I'm after something thats not going to need a wad of work but
isn't going to cost the earth. Needs to be able to carry two dogs in the
rear..... would like a diesel but whatever....
