turbo on pajero

probably a silly question, i`ve a 2.5 turbo pajero, how do i know if the
turbo is "turbo`ing, my garage says it comes in late. can any one offer me
advice, ta

What makes you think it isn't working?

If the turbo wan't turbo'ing you'd know.  It'd restrict breathing to such an
extent that an already slow 4x4 would be slower than a slow thing on valium.
And would probably smoke, cough, back-fire and sundry other maladies that
arise when breathing is restricted.

Not necessarily. It'd go with the speed of a striking slug, but it wouldn't
smoke and cough if the fuelling was turned down enough. Probably the best
place to go for advice is one of the the Pajero Owner's clubs and
http://www.pocuk.com/ would be a good place to start.
