hi just been talking to me local mechanic about servicing me pajero its
due for a service next month anyhow i got talking to him about the
pajero engine and he reckons that with a regular oil filter fuel filter
and engine service he has known and heard of pajeros going around the
clock. he has also serviced pajeros with 500000 plus on the clock he
said the pajero engine is very good as long as its not neglected and
serviced on a regular basis. can anyone tell me of other pajeros with
high milage that are still going strong?     from   smites.

Mine was serviced throughout with oil every 4500 and filter changes at every
9000 as per the manual and still died at 200,000. They are known to have a
softer engine than some of the other older 4x4's

The fact that Mitsubishi sell recon engines as a listed spare should tell
you something
