Frontera Starting from cold The past couple of weeks my Frontera 2.3 TD has
had difficulty in starting in the morning , I put a new battery in it ,later
the heater plug warning light started to flash, so I put new heater plugs in it
.It makes no differance. Once started it runs and starts all day long. Any idea
what is wrong ? ......... Ian

My Frontera 2.3TD does'nt like pointing uphill on my drive but if I
reverse on to the drive so it faces downhill it starts much easier.

Maybe nothing to do with the problem, but is the starter motor OK? I
replaced an old battery on my Shogun because I thought that was the cause of
my starting problem only to discover it needed a new starter motor.

When you've tried cranking it for a bit, _carefully_ feel the terminals.
Battery, the other end of the earth strap, solenoid and starter. If one
of them is getting hot, it suggests a less-than-good contact, and it
will be worth cleaning.
Caution: these can get hot enough to hurt.
