Frontera LWB

I know this is probably not the best offroader but we like it!!

Got a question about Oil Pressure.  We have an oil pressure gauge and the
needle sits around the middle of the gauge, does anyone know whether this is
correct or should it sit at the 3/4 mark.

p.s just about to buy a newer 4x4, my choice is
between a Frontera (5 door), a Freelander or
maybe a Nissan X-trail.

Whats the going opinion on these 3

Mine always sat at maximum reading, except when I'd clean the connector
then it would read correctly (cannot recall the reading though) for a
while then it would go back to maximum reading after a couple of weeks.
