Freelander rear axle noise

Hello, does anyone has an idee or experience the problem that i have?
Its a loud zoefzoefzoef noise from the rear , mostly leftisch i think.
The wheel bearings are renewed, the dealer says  your tires but i
think not.
It is lesser with cold start. Maybe oil thikker? I'm afread that the
diff is warn out...
Who has the same noise?

I seem to remember hearing that Freelanders can wear their tyres unevenly
resulting in noise.  You could try swapping the front and rears wheels
around and see if there is any difference.

Try using Google to search alt.fan.landrover, you may find something there.
Alternatively try posting there as well.

Rotating the tyres solved the same problem with my Freelander also.

Rotate them as per the manual and it will disappear (almost). Due to the
tyre wearing and causing castellation apparently.
