I've an '84 Classic Range Rover featuring a lower tailgate with external lever. Would the fittings etc of a later model with internal lever be suitable for a straight swap, as mine is now rusting? Any advice much appreciated. Rob No, different pin lock mechs on the body, I should know, I tried. Did not realise until I had bolted the thing on and tried to shut it!!!!! Whether the pins and plates on the body can be changed I do not know, they point in different directions.
