Bit of a laugh, this one.
Not as sh.t as you'd expect, with pretty decent quality materials and
screwed together well.
Gear stick needs changing for a leather knob rather than cheap plastic.
Leather seats comfy, hold you in well and very adustable.
Goes well-ish, handing was sharp and steering well weighted.
Head unit was sh.t, though.
Summary: cheap enough to be tempting, but probably not top of the list.
(£12k for a 57 plate pre-reg car with 700 miles on it)

V6 is nice but 27MPG so it depends if economy is an issue or not. I do
like the shape of them but there's a newer version on the horizon in
the near future so there may be some price dropping going on soon.

2.0 is not much slower. V6 gets hammered with tax and the base 1.6 is
outgunned by a micra. Not a bad car for cruising....
next version may be RWD but looks worse

Next version will not be RWD. The Genesis is positioned above the
coupe. It's unlikely to be sold in UK in any quantity, could be as few
as 500/year as a "halo" model. There will be a FWD replacement for the
coupe in a few years.

I was looking at a 2lt, although I could possibly get a 2.7 passed -
however, the SIII 2.7 is a rare beast, as it's now no longer available
in the UK.
In terms of price - they'd dropped the pre-reg cars by £7k from list
before I'd asked for a discount - however, that doesn't look good in
terms of residual values.
A 2 year old V6 auto comes in at around £10k, if I can find one.
