So who's it going to be?  I'm off to Wales tomorrow to find out :)

Plus I'm getting chauffered around in a nice new shiney Merc C250 (or summat
like that) so I can enjoy a few bevvies out in the valleys.  Luvly jubbly.

Anyone else going?

Might have a run down early doors on Sunday for the last morning,
providing the lazy arse postmen deliver my sodding cover note tomorrow
then I can tax the car...

Me. Went to Cardiff and stayed in the Travelodge just over the road from
the Millennium Centre. 30 second walk to where everything was going on.
Got all the signatures apart from Mikko's. Collared him as he was
walking back to his car. He came over, was about to get his pen out then
some f.cking corporate knob accosted him so didn't get it.

Went to Sweet Lamb.

If you went to Sweet Lamb and were slightly observant, you may have seen
the car I was in. Renault Espace with Gumball 3000 stickers on it and a
homebrew roofrack with 10 aerials of various sizes on top. We had a seat
in the middle of the car absolutely covered in scanners and PMR radios
listening to everything from everyone from the helicopters through to
the teams and down to the rally officials.

For example,
Start of Stage 1, when asked if everything was going OK, the officials
said "Yeah except for the Japanese who always seem to be a pain in the
arse".

Henning Solbergs car was running sh.t because nobody in their workshop
can solder for sh.t and had done a piss poor job on a relay. When you
hear them referring to soldering as welding, you don't hold out much
hope.

The 6 minute gap in the running of the Group N was because one of the
co-drivers kept passing in and out of consciousness so everyone got
backed up.

Also heard Mikko saying he'd not had much confidence in himself the
first time through, hence the low times and was going to get himself
sorted over dinner.

Stage officials were as funny as hell on the radio once they'd closed
the stage down after the first run through. There was some right stuff
going on.

If you go again, you really need to take some radio gear with you. Adds
greatly to the experience when you get to hear whats going on which
doesn't make it to TV or the commentary.

Funniest part: Watching a long line of people in suits walking through
the mud at the bottom of the stage tip-toeing through the shite in their
best office type footwear as they were trying to get from the
hospitality tent to their cars and watching one of the morons thinking
he was clever walking outside the taped path set up and then coming
across a quagmire he had no choice but to go through.

I'm not prejudiced. I hate everybody equally.

We went to Halfway then shot down to Rhondda. Fecking hell was it wet,
proper Welsh weather, luckily me and my mate started on the Vodka early
which kept us warm!!  Since we had the females with us we didn't watch the
whole field, but I guess we saw about two thirds at Halfway, but only the
top ten at Rhondda.

We went by some jumps at Halfway, and once everyone pushed past the tape and
ignored the marshals we didn't get a bad view, but to be honest it wasn't
overly exciting.  By the time the Group N's and 1600s were coming through
things had slowed right down, with some looking like they were on a Sunday
drive (more money than telent!!) and that's when we decided to make a move.

Had a good drive across the mountains in the two cars (Merc C250 CDi Sport
twin turbo and a Subaru Legacy GTB twin turbo), although we were held up for
a bit after some tit in an Imprezza decided it was a good idea to take a
detour down the side of said mountains - luckily it was down a relatively
small 'hilly bit' rather than a cliff face but had to wait for a crane to
pick him up.

At Rhondda we took shelter in the woods by a 90-left which was a good little
spot as it was after a long straight and the cars flew in at huge amounts of
speed and came out the other side with a good dab of oppo!  Unfortunately by
this point it was torrential sideways rain and the trees in the woods looked
like they were about to fall on us.  My other half decided to stay in the
car anyway and the other were winging about being wet so we called it a day
after the big names came through.

Was going to go into Cardiff today for the finish today, but the weather put
us off in the end so just watched the stage times come up on wrc.com.  Must
try and lookout for the Dave re-run of their WRC show to see todays action,
but the Welsh get much better coverage on S4C, shame I cant get it here.

Took a few photos, but my camera was getting soaked so not sure how they've
come out.  Will sort them out in a min.

Sounds like it's worth tuning in.  I know nothing about radios - we had some
walkie talkies for communicating between the 2 cars, and they were picking
something up when we arrived on the stage, but they were left in the car due
to the weather!

are anyway...

Saw it on telly. Looks like Monday had the best weather.

Bit pissed off at Loeb winning. Mikko nearly had him.
