I booked an EasyCar in *early July* for last weekend, to be picked up
between 9&10am on Saturday from Euston Stn.  I turned up at 9.10am to
find a queue of 3 in front of me waiting for a car to "appear".

They had none available.

But here's the best part.  They were expecting only 4 cars to be
returned that day, all between 9 and 11am.  But when I asked how many
people were booked to pick up a car that day, I was told 24!!!!!!  You
do the sums!!!! (because they obviously can't)

And, their online booking system allowed someone else waiting there to
book (and don't forget they debit your account when you book) the
night before, when obviously they must have known they didn't have any
cars available!!!!  Still, I thought, 4 cars were due in, and I was
4th in line, so I waited.  And waited.  And waited.  Meanwhile, more
people were turning up to *collect* their cars, and the waiting
group's anger increased as they were told there wasn't going to be a
car for them.  Some people booked the car weeks ago to go to a
lunch-time wedding a couple of hours drive away.  Come 11.15am, with
only a couple of cars returned, and me having meant to have left in my
car by ~10am, I was still waiting.  As I had a weekend driving holiday
planned with accommodation booked on the south coast, I ended up
leaving with no car to go catch a train.

You get what you pay for.  I'll pay more next time and make sure I
actually get a car.

Along the lines of "Breach of Contract"?? Circumstances beyond their
control, I can understand for 2 cars (or even 1) not being returned when
due, but when they've booked 24????
