My Seat Leon 1.9 tdi SE has a fault of some kind when I start up the car
from cold it is fine until I reach about 70 mph the turbo cuts out and does
not work until I switch the car off then its fine (as long as its warmed
up), it only does it when starting from cold. if the engine is warm then no
probs, but I not sure if it as actually the turbo that's faulty or something
else to do with it. because when I switch the car off it resets the problem
and works fine. any suggestions as to what it could be?

Thanks Keith

er.... one could argue that this is the right forum. What with him
being in the uk, having a car, and this being uk.rec.cars.MISC

Nick

PS you could also try uk.rec.cars.modifications - they tend to be
pretty knowledgeable over there

True , but on cupranet you will find thousands of seat owners rather than
the handfull that frequent this newsgroup so he stands a good chance of
getting the right answer (and several wrong ones :0) )

You could also say that a forum with a domain name that echoes the
performance petrol versions is hardly likely to be a source of expertise on
cooking diseasel shopping trolleys - and that since it's a perfectly
standard VAG td, as fitted to squillions of non-Seats, it really isn't
going to be difficult for somebody here to have come across it before.

There is also a TDI cupra version of the leon and there are plenty of people
on there with more mundane models or who have owned them in the past

Is there a problem with asking the same question in more than one relevant
place?

Sounds like it your MAF sensor needs attention - the symptoms you
describe are very similar to those here:
http://www.seatenthusiasts.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=43641

It might be worth posting on that site (or the other someone else
mentioned) to make sure.
