My bro is looking at a Primera 2.0 SLX on an R plate with an auto
gearbox. 83k on the car, full MOT, FSH.

Does anyone know if the auto boxes are typically Japanese and reliable,
or if they're like the older Mondeo and made of cheese?

cheers

Haven't heard of any issues with them - and Honest John (although a
fucktard) doesn't list any issues. (he normally lists everything, even
if it only caused issues on 1 car, on a wet September evening in 2001)

Which at the time would have been put down to the bombings anyway, as I
recall every other f.cking problem was.  Remember my boss at a local pizza
takeaway place got told "Well, September the 11th, isn't it?" when he
queried why a supplier of his had put their prices up....

Is it just me or is that site incredibly slow (tonight)?  Seems to stall at
loading the ads.

Wouldn't work for me at all using IE8, so I just installed Chrome and
used that. Works fine.

I'm on Linux/Firefox, but I've just booted XP/IE8 in a virtual machine,
and Honest John works fine in that also.
