one day insurance

After calling my current insurer who said theres no such thing as one day
insurance and they most certainly don't do it. I called back up to get
another person who says they don't offer the service.

A few years ago I used someone but can't for the love of god remember who.

I was just hoping someone may have had a positive experience with a company
who provides this service ?

Never used any, but Google for 'day car insurance' and it shows quite a few
options.
