Identify Delco Remy distributors?

I have a couple of unused NOS distributors which I am trying to identify.
They are 6 cylinder units, superficially they are corrrect for Delco
equipped Triumph 6 cylinder cars like the GT6 and Vitesse (which is how I
came to own them!), but the numbers don't correspond to those I know. I have
no Delco-Remy literature to help.
The numbers I have are 7953003 and 7952880. Both distributors are 6 cylinder
types with mechanical tacho drives. Any ideas? The only suggestion so far is
that similar units were used on Vauxhalls,
Cheers,
Bill Davies.

Someone's currently selling a dissy cap on Ebay claiming to fit a range
of six cylinder cars including GT6, Vitesse, Jag, Vanden Plas 4LR (which
I doubt) and I think Vauxhall of some flavour. May give a pointer in the
right direction.

More likely Triumph I can't think of  any 6 cylinder Vauxhalls with a tacho
drive  --- the Ventora  had a tacho  but I am sure that was electronic. The
only other vehicle they just might be for is a petrol Bedford truck

7953003 certainly isn't Triumph as it has the wrong type of mounting plate.
7952880 "could" fit a Triumph engine as the plate is roughly the right
shape, I've not physically comared it though. None of the Triumph numbers
I've been given has matched either distributor.
7952880 has something scrawled onto the tacho drive which might read "vent",
possibly meaning Ventora, but then again someone's helpfully written
"Vitesse" onto the vacuum advance unit, and that one has to be wrong.....
Cheers,
Bill.
