Be careful. I saw a transit on the hardshoulder. It was sat in front of
a tasty looking silver 3 series.
With popup stop signs and flashers concealed in the standard lights.
You wouldn't spot it among the rest of the semi-sporty beemers.

This was an unmarked traffic car.
They had the van driver in the car and the plain uniformed plod was
filling out paperwork.
The popup stop and flashers were activated as it sat behind the van.

Ah. Thought you meant a PlodTransit.

I'd say more risky on the A556 between the M56 and M6 where it is now
50 mph all the way, northbound anyway.
Mr Loophole might have a field day with southbound - missing signs
etc.

Plod around the Wales / England border, near Oswestry have bought
themselves a BMW 1-series for unmarked motorway work.

Silver Golf round us. Dinky little blue lights in the grille - the bloke it
was following appeared not to have noticed...
cheers,

Didn't see the front. It was pretty close to the van.
But the rear red strobes in the rear lights were pretty clear from a
distance and as I got closer I saw the popup stop.

I saw a neat unmarked Zafira in Liverpool a few weeks ago; the blue
flashers were in a pair of 'what looked like' Thule roof bars.
Nice.

They have the same setup in Worcs. Couple of anonymouse looking estate
cars - think a 5 series and a T5. And a black Octavia VRS with no badges and
lights inside the rear window / grille.
