And there's no way that they will accept you putting in the balance from
seeling a house. So your mentioning it in the context of banking one's
profit and paying rent from the interest was irrelevant.

Jsut to remind you, you responded to this:

"Not from anywhere that gives you the interest on a monthly basis that
you would need to pay rent."

> Abbey offer one at 5%, as does Halifax.

Also irrelevant.

Look at those goalposts fly. You claimed:

"Depends on how much he made. If I sold my house in August 2007, I'd
have made £100,000 profit. At 6% interest, it'd have more than covered
the rent on a very nice house far better than what I'd sold."

In August 2007 you could not invest £100,000 at 6% compound interest.

Nationwide were doing 2 year fixed bonds for 6.4%, also FRISA 6.15%  (an ISA
paying monthly interest)

1st one was  gross  rate - you'd normally be paid net , isa ofcourse is
gross

Nationwide was not the best performing, Icelandic banks were probably doimg
better :-)

And then there's the ICICI bank which seemed to top everyone.

Mr Turdon, if you're such a financial whiz tell us why the f.ck:

1/ Didn't you sell at the height of the market ?
2/ You don't have that imaginary 100k to invest you now wish you had ?
3/ Exist as a Lorry Driver and not thrive as an IFA ?
4/ Are currently unemployed ?
5/ Live in an ex council house in a part of Gods own county* ?
*The part God would put the tube if he wanted to give Yorkshire an enema.

Do pop another can of Tuborg and tell everyone why they are wrong.

p.s
I've met you at a Ford meet, your "presence" is all in your mind, you
look and behave just like every other low brow lorry driver I've met.

You have to forgive our debt ridden troll. He's sh.tting himself so
much about the courts repossessing his house and the bailiffs coming
round to take the telly that he's prone to the occassional typo.

Because I'm happy where I live.

See 1.

> 3/ Exist as a Lorry Driver and not thrive as an IFA ?

Because I was happy being a lorry driver.

> 4/ Are currently unemployed ?

Because, unlike me, c.nts like you got yourselves up to your eyeballs
in debt and no longer have any money to spend.

> 5/ Live in an ex council house in a part of Gods own county* ?

Because I'm happy where I live and it was so cheap that I was able to
buy it on a 10 yr mortgage. Thanks to the fact it was a 1x joint
earnings multiplier for the mortgage, I have payments I can afford to
pay even if I'm on the dole unlike the millions of people in the UK who
are now sh.tting themselves as they face unemployment.

So considering I'm still not only able to meet mortgage payments but
also continue the £200 a month overpayment, run 3 cars and continue my
lifestyle without restriction without having to touch my savings even
though I don't qualify for JSA payments ( as I was paying Class 2 NIC
in the years they use for Cont based JSA) I think it's safe to say I
have a clue.

So how much in debt and how close to insolvency are you? Will you
actually manage to have paid for your house by the time you retire?

i know I'll be called names - psycho, proof etc BUT Isn't it a pity that
some techy IT nerds here have to think up a new name like "have to ask"
(also -, bmw driver, gizmo etc) to snip, snipe and generally be unpleasent
anonymously.

have you never heard the phrase - treat people the way YOU would like to be
treated?

Changing the name is easy.
If you can be bothered, just look at the headers....anyone else posting
with similar headers (exact same news reader version / same route
through the net etc etc) is the same person - so if they are a usual
poster trying to be anonymous, it won't work that well.

That said, I'm surprised Conor hasn't done this already as he knows
who...unless he has better thing to do with his time of course!

TBH, on the grand scale of things it does come under the "better things
to do" category.

Must have been signing on day eh ;-)

I figured it might be...as that's exactly why I didn't bother either.

Or there was a juicy episode of Jeremey Vile on ITV.
