Hi, I have a golf tdi 150bhp 2002 model it has covered 70k.
Recently I have been having problems with the running of the car, When
driving the car it will be driving perfectly normal with good power and
all of a sudden the car will just lose power and drive like a normal
bog standard diesel. I have no engine management lights coming on at
all, If I then switch the engine off and start the car back up it will
run ok until it does it again and this keeps happening. I have asked
various people and I have tested a new air mass sensor but this still
hasn't sorted it. Has anyone got any idease what could be the cause of
this as it has the turbo power when starting the car and it doesn't
lose it just at high revs, sometimes it will drive well for 15mins and
then go???
If anyone has any information please help me, Someone has mentioned I
could get a re-map chip and maybe this would help as it seems to be
putting to much boost through the turbo forcing it into limpo mode??
I would appreciate any comments as it is driving me mad
Thanks
Mark

Possibly the N75 valve, the wiring/piping to and from it, or the
actuator  on the turbo, or perhaps the VNT mechanism on the turbo is
sticking.

Take a look at http://www.tdiclub.com in the forums as well.
