Is the extra cost of BP Ultimate diesel offset significantly by improvements
in consumption and/or other benefits?

Planning to try out a tankfull but it would be nice to know if it's a
complete waste of time or not. ;-)

With Super Unleaded found it varies car to car, even those with similar
engines, and probably on your driving style too. I'd suspect it is the
same with the BP Ultimate diesel.

Not noticed a huge improvement in MPG but the engine is quieter. Probably
not worth the extra but I won't put supermarket fuel in (and it's not much
cheaper anyway these days)
