you're correct it is the uk site, this is a uk news group after all. usa
have their own groups and recall methods.

I think Dave is trying to point out that there may not have been a recall
here for this problem but maybe the problem may have manifested itself on US
cars resulting in a recall in the US, as happened on my colleague's Honda no
recall in the UK but a recall for the same fault in the USA!

Golf V6 4motion (2000, X reg). Drivers heated seat stopped working after
getting really hot in one part. I'm sure sure i've read somewhere that
there is a recall but cannot find anything now.

Googling suggests there may have been a recall in Canada but not the UK (or
the US iirc).
I think if there *had* been a UK recall, it would be easy to find on the
net.
